Can't we all just get along?!

My least favorite part of being a parent is having to play referee when my monkeys start fighting with each other. There are days when I refuse to play that part and try to let the kids work things out for themselves.

Today was one of those days.

Rylee and Devynn were upstairs playing when they started arguing. It quickly escalated into yelling (mostly on Devynn's part...she tends to be a bit loud and dramatic), and I couldn't help but laugh out loud at some of the things that were being said.

Devynn: "NO RYLEE! YOU'RE SOOO MEAN!!"

Rylee: "Devynn, don't do that!"

Devynn: "I DON'T WANT YOU IN MY FAMILY ANYMORE!! YOU'RE
NOT IN MY FAMILY!! I HATE YOU! YOU'RE SO MEAN!"

Rylee: "Devynn don't!"

Devynn: "OUCH RYLEE! IT REALLY HURTS WHEN YOU HIT ME
BACK! THAT HURTS REALLY BAD! YOU'RE SOOOO MEAN!!"

Less than 2 minutes later, things had quieted down and they were laughing and playing together. Now why can't they just get along all the time?!
