Arrogant or just confident?

I overheard Devynn saying

"best kid in the whole, whole world."

Since she was alone in the room, I was curious to see who she was talking about.

"Devynn, who are you talking about? Who is the best kid in the whole
world?"

"I am! I am the best kid in the WHOLE world."

You are pretty darn awesome, my little monkey. :)

New Favorite...

I absolutely LOVE that lately whenever we stop to put gas in the car Devynn asks:

"Is the car hungry?"

And then once we are done she says:

"The car is eating."

And then finally:

"The car has a full tummy now."

How cute is that?! :)

The Joys of Security

I've been told that only children that feel very secure in your love for them will tell you things such as "I hate you" because they know, no matter what, you will always love them.

If that is true, then apparently Devynn feels mighty secure because over the last couple of days she has told me...

"I'm tired of you", "I am sick of this house", and my personal favorite "I only love you on Saturdays."

Where does she even come up with these?!

Kinda makes me curious to hear what she will come up with during her oh-so-sweet teen years. Looking forward to it...Can't wait!! :/

Best friend world

Rylee brought home a letter from one of her friends the other day. This is what it said, in perfect 5 year old writing:

"Rylee and Lauren you are frst best frends i've evr had in my best frend wrtd. from Isabel"

When I read it and told Rylee that it was nice of Isabel to write that about her and Lauren, Rylee responded by saying "She didn't give one to Faith!"

My little Rylee Belle doesn't like to see any of her friends left out. She's such a sweetheart. :)

Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's Day. :) Continuing their tradition, the kids "surprised" me with breakfast in bed: a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice. :) They were so excited to give me the presents they picked out and wrapped themselves, and the cute things they made at school.

I love my little monkeys. :)
