Hooray!

Devynn stayed dry all night!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the beginning of a new trend! :)

My other 3 monkeys all stayed dry through the night before I even thought about potty training them. But not Little Miss Devynn. She has continued to wake up every night wet. I finally took her out of diapers a while back, thinking that maybe her wetting on herself would help her learn and stop it. I have been changing sheets and blankets and pajamas (sometimes more than once a night) for weeks now. I have been debating putting her back in diapers at night, but haven't felt like that would be the best thing for her.

So imagine my surprise when she came in my room this morning COMPLETELY DRY!!! YAY!! I am so excited. And I'm sure my washer and dryer are happy too...they've been feeling a little overworked lately (they are already overworked because of all my monkeys...they don't need the extra loads of blankets everyday!)

So keep your fingers crossed with me that this is the start of something new! :)

What a little booger!!

Me: "Devynn, I love you thisssss much," as I stretch my arms as wide as they'll go.

Devynn: "I love you thissssss much," as she puts her hands about an inch apart.

Way to make me feel so loved, my sweet little one!!!

A wedding already???!!!....

For those of you who have ever been around my house, you know how obsessed Devynn is with Yo Gabba Gabba. So the following should come as no surprise...

Devynn is getting married...

to Muno!

Yep, that's right, apparently Devynn is so in love with the tall, bumpy, red one-eyed guy that she plans on marrying him.

She also plans on having "5 Muno babies."

I'm REALLY hoping that they get their mommy's looks. :)

That's RyRy!

Oh how my Rylee Belle makes me laugh! This was the conversation we had this afternoon:

Me: Rylee, how come you're so beautiful?

Rylee: I don't know.

Me: Maybe it's because you look like me , and I am so beautiful.

Rylee: *silence*

Me: Don't you think I'm beautiful?

Rylee: *silence*

Me: What?! You don't think I'm beautiful?!

Rylee: *silence*

Me: You're still little, so that means you're suppose to think your mommy is the most beautiful girl in the world.

Rylee: No, I am the most beautiful girl in the world!!

Popcorn!!

So as I was finishing the previous post, Devynn decided she wanted a cookie from the pantry. I keep the treats on the higher shelves (to keep the kids out of them...guess I need to rethink that!) so Devynn pushed the bar stool over and climbed up. She then proceeded to accidentally dump out almost an entire 32 oz. bag of popcorn kernels! Man those seeds sure fly and bounce!! Guess the "resealable tab" on the top of the bag doesn't work as well as Ziploc. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be finding rogue kernels for weeks hidden behind soup cans and mac-n-cheese boxes! The best part(yes, I'm a terrible mom and take pleasure in my monkey's fears!) was the look of terror on her face when it happened and she turned to look at me! Poor thing! No point in getting mad about an accident, so I just laughed and gave her the cookie she had been searching for to begin with. (see, I'm not THAT terrible of a mom!) :)

Other people..

My little monkey Devynn is not the most outgoing little girl. She tends to come across as being anti-social, but I think she's just really shy. She doesn't like big groups, and certainly doesn't like people looking at her...even family members get the cold shoulder from her most of the time. So yesterday I had to laugh when we were at lunch and Devynn saw someone looking at her...

Me: "Devynn, why do you have your grumpy face on? Are you mad?"

Devynn: "Yes. I don't like all the other people. The only people I like is Grandma."
